Tiger Patrol, 20h x 30w inches, Oil Painting on Linen Canvas. Private Collection.
The magnificent Bengal Tiger patrols its territory in Bandhavgarh National Park with only other males and humans to fear. The battles experienced over territory between one tiger and another are part of the natural law of the Indian jungle, and the dominant tiger will see its cubs raised by the females within that area under his control. What defies all natural laws and any degree of humanity is the senseless poaching of these magnificent creatures, to satisfy the pathetic demands of Chinese medicine and those who would prefer to wear the dead animals coat rather than the true bearer of beauty, the tiger itself.
